NICE TO MEET YOU
I'm Carrie Hensler
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by people.
I’ve always been curious about what drives us, what shapes our choices, and why the way we think, communicate, and relate to others can either create connection or create distance.
That curiosity became a lifelong pursuit of understanding people at a deeper level: leadership, communication, emotional intelligence, relationships, habits, systems, and faith.
For more than three decades, I’ve studied what helps people grow, lead well, and create healthier relationships, not just by knowing the right things, but by learning how to actually live them out.
MY FAVIORITE THINGS:
• Quiet mornings before everyone else is awake.
• Coffee with meaningful conversation.
• Whiteboards, sticky notes, and a fresh notebook.
• Thrifting. I love a bargain!
• Audiobooks at 2X Speed. At least.
• Happily Indoorsy! No humidity. No bugs.
• Sweater weather here in the Midwest.
• Potato chips and french fries. No explanation needed.
• Conferences & Workshops. My nerd space!
Leadership was never about a title. It's about influence.
If your words, your choices, or the way you show up shape the people around you, you're leading. Doesn't matter if that's raising kids, running a team, managing people, or just showing up for the people in your life. You're already influencing someone. The question is what kind of influence it is.
Here's the thing though. Your influence can't grow past your own character. The habits you build. How you handle things when you're stressed and tired. The hard conversations you have instead of avoid. That's what actually shapes the kind of leader you become.
So self-leadership isn't some nice extra. It's the foundation everything else sits on.
My job is to help you lead with more clarity, communicate without the guesswork, and build rhythms that let you actually show up well for the people who matter to you.
Because what you get done isn't the real story here. Who you become while you're doing it is.
